That's probably because it's only part-cat.

[ Part-cat and Satan is STILL a flustered mess over it. ]

It's part bee as well, right? Both like to be outside, and while our treehouse might be suitable for a cat, I'm not so sure it's suitable for a bee.

[ Satan offers the cat-bee another sweet. ]

It probably wants to be outside. Right? You want to go outside, cute little cat-bee?

[ Mammon clicks his tongue when the cat-bee jumps off him and starts to purr excitedly around Satan's leg. On one hand, he could finally sit up a little, but on the other hand, a small part of mammon felt a tiny bit betrayed. ]

I mean, I guess not... w-wait! You're not gonna get rid of it are you?? After all the hard work of gettin' it here?!

[angelbirth]

Absolutely not!!

[ There's a brief moment where he is utterly distracted with the cat-bee again before remembering he was talking to Mammon. ]

Well... if it would probably be happier outside, we should probably take that into consideration. I think the state this cute little thing left you in is proof if that.

[ Look at the cute cat-bee. Look at ittttt. Have another sweet!!!! ]

We'll get some netting and set it up outside. Surely it would enjoy being with the flowers I have growing out there, right? Maybe we can get it to love us and so when we take the netting down it will go off, do its thing, and then come back home to us.

Oh... actually yeah that's a good idea...! In fact we can even make your garden area a little bigger and add more things. An' once he sees that we're just makin a cozy place for him he'll definitely wanna stay! Maybe even bring some friends back!

[ For someone who got scratched up to heck and back, he sure seems excited for this cat-bee, almost as much as Satan was. ]

I hope so. It's adorable, but I want the cutie to be happy. If it were a regular cat, I wouldn't worry so much about whether or not being trapped inside was a good thing, but this little cat-bee probably has bee instincts that we shouldn't ignore. Still...

[ In a rare moment for Satan, he looks at Mammon, his expression absolutely warm and content, his cheeks flushed in joy. ]

Thanks, Mammon!

[ He really looks like a little kid genuinely thanking his older brother. ]

[ His heart... Satan looked so genuinely happy and content in this moment. Mammon couldn't help but feel like he was melting as well. It was so rare for him of all people to get this happy because of something Mammon did. Then again Mammon was usually causing trouble.

Still, all these scratches and stings were completely worth it to see that smile on Satan's face. ]

Y-yeah..! I mean, I figured when I first saw these lil guys, no one would appreciate 'em more than you...

[ Satan is more or less giggling in delight as if he couldn't be happier. Probably because he... probably really couldn't be happier. A cat-bee is still a cat, and that's all that matters. ]

Oh! Maybe if we set up a good enough habitat outside, it'll want to come inside, maybe at night...? Maybe it would want to sleep in my bed....

[ From how happy he is, even if the cat-bee decided it liked the outside better, Satan wouldn't be heartbroken. Just knowing that such a cute kitty cat-bee is in the general vicinity has him over the non-existent moon. ]

Ya know, we could always set it up that it can come into your room freely. Connect the netting to your window or somethin'

Nyaa, nyaa~

[ Sorry. That's at the cat-bee. ]

Nyaaa~ I-I mean, I can leave the window in my room open just in case, but as long as there's access into the house, I'm fine with that, nyaa~

[ Help him. ]

And if we keep your room smellin' sweet this cute lil baby will wanna keep stoppin' by!

Mm, yeah...! Maybe I'll take a few of the flowers growing outside and bring them into my room near the window....

[ Literally sparkling over here. ]

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. We can get like a flower pot or something to put by your window.

Yeah...! That's a great idea, ahaha~

[ Well, he's definitely in an alarmingly good mood. But maybe it's a good thing. Plus, an ultra rare direct compliment from Satan himself. ]

[ Mammon can't help but smile, watching the way Satan gets so happy and content with this adorable little cat creature... It was nice to see Satan look this happy. ]

You can even show off to Zelda you gotta cute little honey creature.

Oh, you're right.

[ ANOTHER COMPLIMENT. ]

She's very interested in botany, so I bet she'd be love seeing what differences there might be between bee pollination and cat-bee pollination.

[ He thinks about what he said for a moment. ]

They do pollinate, right? Cat-bees?

I'm pretty sure they do anyway. When I found this lil guy, I know he was definitely hoverin' around the flowers a lot. So I gotta believe they pollinate. otherwise what the heck is it doing?

We'll just have to keep an eye on it to see what it does. Since you found it near flowers, we can probably assume that's what it likes best. I'll see if I can add more flowers around our house.... Oh, and we'll need to maintain a supply of sweets. Maybe something like... sugar water?

I could prolly go out tomorrow and get a couple of those flowers to bring home. Shouldn't be too hard to replant 'em.

[ Satan nods along happily. ]

Okay. Get any kind you like. I'll try to make sure they're not poisonous.

[ Har har. ]

[ Mammon gives him a teasing look. He's not really that sore about it anymore. And probably still wouldn't notice if Satan continued testing his poison on Mammon. ]

[ For what it's worth, Satan stopped adding the poison to Mammon's meals when he said he would. He even takes Mammon's jab in stride -- ordinarily, he'd get offended despite it being true, thinking that Mammon was sore about the whole unknowing experiment. But he's in such a good mood that it's practically impossible for him to take anything the wrong way. ]

See, cute little kitty cat-bee~? Mammon's going to bring home the flowers you like, and we'll arrange it so you like it here just as much as where Mammon found you. Isn't that exciting, nyaa~?

[stupidmammon]

[ How can his little brother be so damn cute??? Mammon tries to hide his smile behind his hand as he watches Satan coo at the happy little cat-bee. ]

Thats right, an' then you'll want to chill with us a lot!

[ For the next few moments, Satan is completely absorbed in the cat-bee. That's probably not surprising to Mammon. Something suddenly dawns on him suddenly, though. ]

Oh, Mammon. I have a first aid kit. I know you'll recover soon, but let me treat you and those nasty scratches and welts should go away even sooner.

[stupidmammon]

H-huh? Oh um... I mean sure I guess if you really want to. I ain't gonna fight it or whatever.

[angelbirth]

[ Satan nods in acknowledgment, feeding the cat-bee one more sweet treat to occupy it before he stands up. ]

I'll be right back.

[ Through either sheer force of will or a miracle, Satan actually manages to leave Mammon's room and grab the first aid kit he'd cobbled together and had been keeping in their kitchen. He returns quickly enough, probably out of his desire to see the cat-bee again more than anything. ]

I've only just realized I've been neglecting my healing magic.... It doesn't work the same here as it does back home, so I can't really do anything about the pain you might be feeling. I'll see if I can pick it up again.
