[ Mammon hates talking about his feelings. It never goes well. He doesn't want to think about all this stuff going on in his own mind. It was so much easier to talk to Satan about his own problems. It was so much easier to work out Satan's problems with him. Why did he have to be so persistent? He could have just repressed those thoughts like he does everything else and it would have been just fine.
Now he's gone and caused a pathetic scene and took it out on Satan. Getting help from Satan wouldn't piss him off more, it'd just make him feel more pathetic. ]
[ Satan doesn't move right away. After a moment, though, he silently crouches beside Mammon, green magic flowing around his hands. Wordlessly, he casts a low level healing spell on Mammon. It won't do much, but it might help dull any aches and pains Mammon might be feeling from the fall as the magic washes over his body.
When he feels like he's done what he can, Satan stands up again and picks up the floor board, then moves to beneath the hole Mammon left in the floor. Again with magic, he repairs the damage to it, then floats it on up to the hole above to magically fit it in and mend ruined floor.
There isn't a time in recent memory where Mammon has lost his temper like that. Satan hadn't been trying to mock him or make him feel bad on purpose. He'd only wanted Mammon to be open and honest because Mammon had only ever encouraged that of him.
Satan glances at Mammon again. ]
I'm sorry.
[ For bringing any of this up in the first place. For thinking he, the most emotionally stunted of his brothers, could handle speaking about the situation with the delicacy it required. For thinking he could return the favor of Mammon allowing him to speak honestly, even if hurt and was embarrassing to do. ]
I'll go fix what I can of the wall and the ceiling.
[ Even if it's faint, Mammon can feel the bits of healing magic and curls up a little more. He goes and throws this big stupid tantrum, enough to fall through the floor and Satan still deems him worthy enough to even pay attention to? If Satan were any of the other brothers they would have left him down here to suffer alone. Even go as far as to shout at him "Good, sleep out there tonight" or something like that. Even after acting like such a child Satan still found him even the tiniest bit worthy of help...
ugh he was disgusting. ]
Don't be.... [ He thinks to himself 'I'm the one actin' like a power enraged toddler....'
...I asked you how you felt, and you told me. I wasn't as delicate as I should have been when I told you the news. What's more is that I asked you to tell me how you felt immediately after. I've had all this time to process it, and you haven't. I thought... it would be helpful to talk about it in the moment.
[ After all, Mammon had talked him down just moments ago when he was so angry he was in his demon form. ]
[ The more he listened to Satan the more it just bothered him. He was the one who was actually throwing a tantrum, so why is Satan trying to excuse it?? ]
I'm supposed to be netter than this... and yet I'm acting younger than Belphie. So don't.... make excuses for me. You didn't do anything wrong...
One of us broke a hole through the floor and one of us didn't. I think that alone shows who's worse...
[ Mammon hugs his knees to his chest tighter, as if afraid that he might just explode all over again. Or maybe its the only way he knows how to cope with his feelings if he doesn't have a bottle of Demonus in his hands.]
One of us broke a hole through the wall and one of us didn't. We were both upset.
[ But one of them didn't have to be. One of them could have kept his stupid mouth shut and spared his brother the pain of feeling helpless and powerless. ]
Get up off the ground and come back inside so I can make sure you didn't break any bones.
[ You're not supposed to reward the one who hurt you, Satan!!!
He frowns more, and almost looks like he wasn't going to budge. There was a whirlwind of feelings going through him, mostly pathetic feelings and guilt. He didn't want to lash out... He didn't want to attack Satan the way he did. But he couldn't take it back now. ]
You should just leave me out here. [ like trash. ]
[ But he does finally start to uncurl himself from his position. ]
[ Some brother he turned out to be. Can't even keep himself calm when in the face of something painful. He frowns more and finally starts to stand up. Closing his eyes tightly when he feels a twinge of pain in his ankle. ]
[ He was hoping if he didn't draw attention to it, Satan wouldn't notice. But Satan has always been one of their more observant brothers regardless... Frowning softly he glances off to the side. ]
My ankle...It's probably just a pulled muscle or something...
[ Mammon falls silent and lets Satan do his magic. Frowning to himself as he continues. He really didn't deserve this, but Satan was continuing. ]
You know... I've always been impressed.... you're the one who was born a demon... but outta all of us you're the one who excels with healin' magic the most....
[ He murmurs as he slowly starts to head toward the ramp that loops around their tree. His walking was a bit stiff and awkward and it was hard to tell if it was due to the injury or just his sulking. ]
[ There's no point in arguing with him. He's right anyway, he's already said what he said. He's apologized for it so dragging it up over and over isn't going to change anything. ]
[ Satan makes a soft sound, acknowledging what he said. Once they reach the top of the ramp, he moves past Mammon to head into the tree house first. He makes a beeline to where the book is wedged into the wall and delicately pulls it out. Although, looking at the hole it leaves behind... this will be a bit trickier to fix. It might be too delicate work for magic.... ]

Besides, no one is at their best when they're upset.

It should dull the pain for a while. You should still probably keep off of it for a day or two anyway to be safe.
